Illustrated talk – Prof Ezekeil Kwembeya: “Rain Falling or Disappearing? Understanding Namibia’s Rainfall Mystery”
February 19 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Using data from 57 stations (2010–2020), the study finds Namibia’s rainfall is declining and unevenly distributed. Nearly 87% of months recorded under 50 mm, with droughts in 2013, 2015, 2018, and 2019. While Zambezi stayed relatively wet, regions like Erongo and Karas dried. The findings stress urgent, region-specific adaptation and water management strategies.
