Illustrated Talk: “From London to Namibia: Students life at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew”

Stefano and Ivo are Diploma Students in Botanical Horticulture at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in London. The Diploma, a three-year programme, offers a curriculum that provides a combination of practical and theoretical study, with the opportunity to study scientific and technical subjects, whilst gaining practical experience and responsibility working with one of the most comprehensive botanic collections in the world. As part of the training, students undertake a travel scholarship trip to further an interest in Horticulture they have. Stefano and Ivo will talk about why they chose Namibia for their study trip, alongside giving more insights into their lives as students in Kew, their studies, working placements and the future strategies of one of the most important Botanic Gardens worldwide.
